When grief stays with you

You may still need support, even when others have moved on.

When everyday moments feel difficult, it can help to have somewhere to talk about the person you miss. You don’t need to have the right words.

If your loss happened months or years ago and you’re wondering whether this group fits your needs, talk with us before registering.

Good to know

A few questions before you join.

Is Through Grief right for me—even if my loss was some time ago?

There is no one way to grieve, and no previous therapy experience is needed. If grief is still affecting your everyday life, you’re welcome to ask about support. Contact us to discuss how long it has been since your loss, your circumstances, the types of loss the group supports and age requirements. We can help you explore whether this group is a suitable fit before you register.

Do I have to share? What about privacy?

You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable. Participants are asked to respect one another’s privacy and keep personal stories within the group. The facilitator can explain confidentiality and its limits; confidentiality by other participants cannot be guaranteed.

What happens during a session?

Sessions are 90 minutes and include guided discussion, reflection and practical ways to cope with loss. You can participate at your own pace, including simply listening. If you’re nervous about attending, contact the clinic to ask about the first session and discuss any concerns.

What should I know about fees and attendance?

The group runs for seven Wednesdays, October 28–December 9, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. Sessions are $70 each, plus a $35 one-time administration fee. Before registering, ask the clinic about payment timing, what the administration fee covers and the policy for missed sessions. Review the payment and cancellation terms in the registration form before signing.

Can I use my insurance?

Contact the clinic about insurance coverage and direct billing. Coverage depends on your plan and the provider, so confirm your benefits before registering. Through Grief sessions are $70 each, plus a $35 one-time administration fee.

How do I register?

Open the Through Grief registration form to provide your contact information, a brief description of your loss, and payment or insurance details. A credit card is required. Review the group, payment and cancellation terms before signing and submitting. The form may still display the former name, Grief Journey. If you have questions about suitability or the next steps after submission, contact the clinic before completing it.
